Israel Amb. To Biden: ‘We expect our ally’ to blame Hamas, not us, when Hamas kills Israelis and an American

On Tuesday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Israel’s ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, responded to President Joe Biden’s criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Netanyahu had not done enough to secure a cease-fire, saying, “We expect multiple attacks by Hamas.” In the wake of the killing of Israeli hostages and an American hostage, our ally, the US, to put it very bluntly, blames Hamas for the fact that we have no deal today.

Dannon said, “[I]It’s very simple, blame Hamas, period. You cannot blame Netanyahu or Israel. Hamas always says[s] In May, President Biden put a deal on the table. We said yes, Hamas said no. The same thing happened in August. So, think about the day we mourn the brutal execution of six young Israelis, including an American boy, who was imprisoned, tortured, wounded, and hanged for nearly 11 months.

He added, “I watched the videos, … and I was thinking about the moments that those boys and girls were waiting for and really knew that they were going to execute them, it was cruel, they were convicted. And we expect our ally, the US, to say very clearly that Hamas will be blamed for the fact that we have no deal today.”

Co-host Brian Kilmeade then asked, “How about the fact that we’re trying to run a war from here, for the longest time, asking not to go to Rafah? Do you think it helps or hurts?”

Danone responded, “I think it hurts US interests, because the US wants us to end the war as soon as possible. … I think we have to end the war, not end the war. We want to end the war. It has to be done and the end of the war will be the end of Hamas. We will not allow Hamas to remain in power.
