UP Police has taken action in the case of beating of woman inspector Shaili Rana and Inspector Pawan by entering the police station premises in Agra. Along with this, strict action has been taken against the policemen who were beaten, the accused who beat them, the person who made the video and many people present there in this entire episode.
Rakabganj police station’s woman inspector Shaili Rana has been suspended. While the family members of her friend Inspector Pawan Nagar have been sent to jail. Suspended Inspector Shaili Rana has filed a case in Rakabganj police station accusing Inspector Pawan Nagar’s family of breaking into her house, assaulting her, abusing her and threatening to kill her.
On the basis of the FIR lodged, Inspector Pawan Nagar’s wife, his wife’s brother and brother-in-law’s wife have been arrested and sent to jail. Police officers are also very angry that many policemen were present on the spot and at the time of the inspector being beaten, they were making videos instead of stopping the incident.

On the same charge, sub-inspector Sunil Lamba and Devendra Mahila police station’s head constable Rekha, constable Ankit, constable Girish posted at PRB, driver Rajendra have been suspended.
Also, a report has been filed against the home guard present at the spot. Sources say that after investigation in this case, names of two journalists and six others have also been revealed. It is believed that names of journalists will be included among the 6 others. The journalists whose names have been written in the report have not been identified as journalists.
It is known that on Saturday evening at 4:00 pm, Inspector Pawan Nagar was with the lady inspector Shaili Rana at her residence. Shaili Rana’s residence is in the Rakabganj police station premises. Suddenly, Inspector Pawan Nagar’s wife Geeta, son Adhiraj alias Lucky, wife’s brother Jwala Singh and Jwala Singh’s wife Sonika reached Shaili Rana’s residence and started banging on the door.
When the door did not open, it was broken. After this, everyone entered the house. Pawan’s wife and his sister-in-law brought Shaili Rana out. Along with Shaili Rana, Inspector Pawan Nagar was caught and brought out by his son and his brother-in-law. After bringing them out, Inspector Shaili Rana and Inspector Pawan Nagar were beaten up badly in the police station premises itself.
When the fight created a ruckus, many policemen posted in the police line and the police station reached the spot. Instead of stopping the incident, some policemen started making a video of the beating of the two inspectors. Shaili Rana was being beaten up at the police station where she was posted as the station in-charge inspector. They have the responsibility to stop any incident, they were standing as silent spectators and making a video of the incident.
The investigation of this case was given to ACP Sukanya. Sukanya has taken the investigation forward. After this, action of suspension and line attendance was taken. According to the information received, Shaili Rana and Pawan Nagar were previously posted together in Noida district. The friendship between the two inspectors happened in Noida itself.
Then both the inspectors were transferred to different districts. Pawan Nagar was posted in the vigilance department of the police in Muzaffarnagar district. While Shaili Rana was transferred to Agra. According to unconfirmed information, the meetings between the two inspectors continued as usual. Pawan Nagar’s family had strong objections to this. Due to the objection of the family, such a big incident took place in the Rakabganj police station premises and the police was disgraced.
