India’s first rapid rail Namo Bharat train reached Meerut from Sahibabad in just 30 minutes on Monday. The people of Meerut were overjoyed when the Namo Bharat train reached Meerut, because the arrival of the train in such a short time is a big achievement for the Indian Railways. Meanwhile, the people of Meerut reacted to the Namo Bharat train to ‘Aaj Tak’.

Ashish, a resident of Meerut, said that he was married 10 years ago in Ghaziabad. For the last 10 years, he has been going to Ghaziabad with his wife on Rakhi day. But this is the first time that his wife has reached Ghaziabad without any traffic. Ashish said that Meerut will benefit a lot from this in the coming times.

At the same time, Ashish’s wife Pooja says that earlier it used to take 2 hours to go to Ghaziabad and one had to go a day before Raksha Bandhan. But this time it has happened that they have returned home in a single day. And she thanked the government. The government has given a gift to the sisters on Raksha Bandhan. The travel experience is also very good.

Mohammad Ayub, who was travelling in the train, said that he is travelling for the first time and it feels very good. The speed of the train is very good and there is good cooling in the train. It feels very good. Ambuj Kumar, who is training to be a sub-inspector, said that earlier it used to take many hours to go to Delhi and Meerut. We used to get one day off and that day would get wasted. Now a lot of time is being saved. There is no problem. There are very good facilities.

Rahul Gupta said that he is going with his family and Namo Bharat is a journey that will compete with Delhi Metro. He had booked a cab, but it did not come. Now he is going by train. Some people say that the fare of this train is high. There was a little argument between two passengers regarding this. One passenger said that the fare is high. Rahul’s wife said that she is going to her home to tie Rakhi to her brother. By travelling by train, her husband saved the money for the cab.

Sakshi, who was travelling in the train with her children, said that she is a resident of Modinagar. She got married in Delhi and she had come to Modinagar to tie Rakhi to her brother. It has become very easy. Now one can travel easily with children. Now it has become easy to go home. Earlier we had to go from one bus to another. We had to change buses.

At the same time, Harsh said that people are going to get a lot of benefits. There will be saving of time and money. Apart from this, new companies will also open in Meerut. It has become easier to go to Delhi. The experience is very good. A person will reach home in 30-35 minutes. There is no tension. There is no traffic. There is no jam. The trains are very good. There is no noise either.

The Namo Bharat train left for Sahibabad from Meerut railway station on 18 August 2024 at 2 pm and the train completed the 42 km journey in just 30 minutes at a speed of 160 km per hour. This train reached Sahibabad from Meerut South via Modinagar North, Modinagar South, Muradnagar, Duhai station, Ghaziabad and from there. Meerut residents were very happy with the running of this train and thanked the government. However, this train will reach other stations of Meerut soon but work is going on at other stations right now, due to which it is being operated till Meerut South station.

Let us tell you that Meerut South RRTS station has been opened for passenger operations. With the addition of this 8 km additional section, a total of 42 km of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is now operational, which includes 9 stations from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad to Meerut South in Meerut.

At the same time, Namo Bharat trains will be available for passengers from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on the entire section from Sahibabad to Meerut South. The first train in both directions will leave at 6:00 am and the last train will leave at 10:00 pm from the terminal stations Sahibabad and Meerut South. The one-way concessional fare of Namo Bharat train will be Rs 110/- for standard class from Sahibabad to Meerut South and Rs 90/- for standard class from Ghaziabad to Meerut South.

Meerut South RRTS station will have the largest parking facility in Uttar Pradesh on the RRTS corridor, which will increase the convenience of passengers. Two parking spaces located on both sides of the entry/exit gates of the station have been built in about 13,000 square meters. About 1,200 four-wheelers and two-wheelers can be parked in these parking spaces. Apart from this, dedicated parking is also available for auto-rickshaws.

The station is designed to facilitate easy pick-up and drop-off for vehicles coming from both Meerut and Delhi, with direct access from the main road. For the convenience of Divyang passengers, the station includes a parking area and ramps for easy access so that they can travel easily on the Namo Bharat Train.

Let us tell you that Meerut South station is the first station of Meerut, around which areas like Mohiuddinpur, Bhudbaral, Bahadurpur, Aminagar, Chhajjupur, Kharkhauda, ​​Kadarabad etc. are situated. With the opening of this station, travelling has become easier for these passengers. With the start of Namo Bharat train service from Meerut South, passengers will be able to reach Sahibabad in about 30 minutes.

Apart from RRTS trains, the station will also provide local metro services for the Meerut region. The station has three tracks on three platforms. Two are for Namo Bharat trains and one for metro services. The station has three levels: ground, mezzanine, concourse and platform. Its length is about 215 meters, width 36 meters and height 22 meters.
