Indians and Pakistanis were seen singing ‘Jai H’ in unison on the streets of London

Today on 15th August, the whole country of India is celebrating the 78th Independence Day. Everyone is immersed in the celebration of freedom. This day reminds every Indian of the first morning of the new India when after almost 200 years the reins of power came into the hands of an Indian. However, on 14th August, British India was divided on communal basis, leading to the birth of two independent nations – India and Pakistan.

Now, a video of a musician @vish.music uniting both Indians and Pakistanis in the United Kingdom is going viral on Instagram. This video, posted two days ago, is of the streets of London where Vish is singing AR Rahman’s Bollywood song ‘Jai Ho…’ on the guitar and many Indians and Pakistanis are joining in with him, holding the flags of their respective countries. Apart from this, some people are also seen holding UK flags. Many people standing in the crowd are making videos of the scene.

Vish has written in the caption of the video- ‘When Indians and Pakistanis sing ‘Jai Ho…’ together in London. Let’s share this video for love and unity. We need each other in bad times.

When the video went viral, people started making lovely comments on it. One user wrote- ‘Divided by UK, United in UK’ i.e. UK divided and UK united. Another wrote- Music is such a thing that breaks the borders and unites hearts. One person wrote- Celebration of India’s independence in London is ironic. One user wrote- I am getting goosebumps after listening to this. Apart from this, people were also seen wishing Happy Independence Day on the post.

Let us tell you that in a country like UK where a large number of Indians live, such beautiful scenes are seen on most of the Indian festivals where India becomes united.
