Indian Railways is called the lifeline of the country. In fact, a large part of the country’s population travels in railway trains every day. These days, there is a lot of crowd in trains. In view of which Indian Railways is continuously operating special trains on different rail routes.
In this sequence, in view of the huge crowd of passengers, the railway will operate 02 pairs i.e. 4 special trains 05557/05558 and 05585/05586 Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul Superfast Special between Raxaul and Lokmanya Tilak. In this regard, CPRO of East Central Railway Saraswati Chandra said that the operation of these trains will make it easier for people of UP and Bihar to travel to Mumbai.

Train No. 05557 Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak Superfast Special running via Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur-Hajipur-Patliputra-DDU will leave Raxaul at 19.15 hrs on every Tuesday of the week from 13.08.2024 to 27.08.2024, reach Bairgania at 20.05 hrs, Sitamarhi at 20.50 hrs, Muzaffarpur at 22.45 hrs, Hajipur on Wednesday at 00.01 hrs, Patliputra at 01.05 hrs, Ara at 01.50 hrs, Buxar at 02.40 hrs and DDU at 05.00 hrs and reach Lokmanya Tilak on Thursday at 05.50 hrs.
In the return, train no. 05558 Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul Superfast Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 07.55 hrs on every Thursday of the week from 15.08.2024 to 29.08.2024 and reach Raxaul at 16.50 hrs after stopping at DDU at 07.15 hrs, Buxar at 08.28 hrs, Ara at 09.18 hrs, Patliputra at 10.00 hrs, Hajipur at 11.05 hrs, Muzaffarpur at 12.35 hrs, Sitamarhi at 14.55 hrs, Bairgania at 15.26 hrs.
This special train will have 02 coaches of second AC class, 03 coaches of third AC class and 15 coaches of sleeper class. Out of which 04 coaches of sleeper class will be marked as general class.
> Train No. 05585/86 Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul Superfast Special
Train No. 05585 Raxaul-Lokmanya Tilak Superfast Special running via Sitamarhi-Darbhanga-Samastipur-Barauni-Patna-DDU will leave Raxaul at 16.55 hrs on every Friday of the week from 09.08.2024 to 30.08.2024 and reach Bairgania at 17.44 hrs, Sitamarhi at 18.25 hrs, Janakpur Road at 18.52 hrs, Kamtaul at 19.16 hrs, Darbhanga at 19.58 hrs, Samastipur at 21.20 hrs, Barauni at 22.25 hrs, Patna at 00.40 hrs on Saturday and DDU at 05.00 hrs, reaching Lokmanya Tilak on Sunday at 05.30 hrs.
In the return, train no. 05586 Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul Superfast Special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 16.35 hrs on every Sunday of the week from 11.08.2024 to 01.09.2024, reach DDU at 19.38 hrs on Monday, Patna at 22.25 hrs, Barauni at 01.25 hrs on Tuesday, Samastipur at 03.10 hrs, Darbhanga at 04.07 hrs, Kamatouli at 04.32 hrs, Janakpur Road at 04.50 hrs, Sitamarhi at 05.20 hrs and Bairgania at 05.56 hrs and reach Raxaul at 07.45 hrs. This special will have 14 coaches of sleeper class and 08 coaches of general class.
