Indian Athletes Homecoming Update: The two-week-long Paris Olympics 2024 concluded on August 11. This time India won 6 medals in the Olympics, including 1 silver and 5 bronze. The only silver medal was won by Neeraj Chopra in javelin. While shooter Manu Bhaker won 2 bronze. Now all the Indian athletes are waiting to return home. However, Neeraj will not return home yet.

The Paris Olympics were held from 26 July to 11 August. A 117-member Indian team had gone to Paris for this, most of the athletes have returned. PR Sreejesh and Manu Bhaker were the Indian flag bearers for the ‘Parade of Nations’ in the closing ceremony.

In such a situation, the rest of the Indian players including Manu and Sreejesh are returning today (13 August). Apart from Sreejesh, hockey star Amit Rohidas, Raj Kumar Pal, Abhishek, Sukhjeet Singh, Sanjay are also among the athletes coming to India. While bronze medalist wrestler Aman Sehrawat will also return to India.

Neeraj will return home after a month

Neeraj Chopra will return home after about a month. Neeraj Chopra has left for Germany directly from Paris. He has gone to Germany after medical advice. Let us tell you that Neeraj has a complaint of hernia. In such a situation, he has been asked to go to Germany for medical checkup. If needed, his surgery will also be done there. After this, Neeraj will return home after staying in Germany for about a month.

During the Paris Olympics, Vinesh had confirmed the silver medal by entering the final of 50 kg freestyle wrestling. But she was disqualified just before the medal match because her weight was 100 grams more than before the Olympic gold medal match.

After this, Vinesh filed a case in CAS, on which the decision is to come today (13 August). In such a situation, Vinesh Phogat still hopes to get justice. If the decision comes in favor of Vinesh, then she will jointly get the silver medal.

India’s medals in Paris Olympics

Manu Bhaker won the first medal in Paris Olympics, bronze in 10 meter air pistol. Then the pair of Manu Bhaker-Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed team event. After this, Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in Men’s 50 meter rifle three position.

The Indian hockey team won the bronze medal and gave India its fourth medal. After this Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in javelin throw. Wrestler Aman Sehrawat won the sixth medal by winning bronze in 57 kg wrestling.
