India’s schedule on Day 2 (August 30) of Paralympics 2024: Today (30 August) is the second day of the Paris Paralympics. Where Indian para athletes will participate in many sports. If any of these players move forward, the possibility of a medal will also be confirmed. On the second day, there will be hopes of medals in para-athletics and shooting. Avni Lekhara will try to defend her gold medal in 10 meter air rifle standing.
In para-athletics, Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana will participate in the women’s discus throw F55 final, so India can achieve a podium finish for the first time in these events. Apart from this, Preeti Pal will try for a medal in the women’s 100m T35 final.

India’s shooting hopes will be led by Avani Lekhara, who won the gold medal in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event at the Tokyo Paralympics. She will compete in the qualification round on Friday; if she progresses, the final will be held later, giving her a chance for another podium finish. In archery, Sarita will face Malaysia’s Nur Jannatan Abdul Jalil in the Round of 32 event.
Another major medal contender for India is Manish Narwal, who will participate in the men’s 10m air pistol SH1 category. Narwal won the gold medal in the mixed 50m pistol SH1 at the Tokyo Paralympics and would like to continue his successful performance in Paris.
India’s badminton players will also be in action, with Manasi Joshi competing in the women’s singles SL3 category. While defending champion Krishna Nagar will begin his campaign in the men’s singles SH6 group stage matches. The shuttlers will aim to advance from the group stages and secure a place in the knockout round.
