Ind Vs Eng Test Series 2025: After Australia, Team India will also play 5 Test matches against England, full schedule revealed

The Indian team will be on a tour of England during June-August next year (2025), where it has to play 5 Test matches against the host team. The schedule of the Test series between India and England has been released. On Thursday (22 August), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the schedule.

The first test will be played at Headingley

According to the released schedule, the first match of the Test series between the two countries will be played at Headingley from June 20. Then the second Test match will be played in Birmingham from July 2. After this, both the teams will face each other in the third match of the series from July 10 at Lord’s ground. Then the remaining two Test matches will be played in Manchester (July 23) and Oval (July 31).

This Test series will be part of the fourth season of the World Test Championship (WTC). Let us tell you that the final of the third and current season of the World Test Championship is to be played in June 2025 at the Mecca of cricket, Lord’s. This five-match Test series is to be held just a few days after that final match. The Indian team last toured England in the year 2021 for a Test series, which ended in a 2-2 draw. However, due to the outbreak of Kovid-19, the last Test match of that tour was held in 2022, which England won by seven wickets.

Team India’s schedule is very tight

Team India’s schedule is very tight in the coming few months. In the next 5 months (before the Champions Trophy), the Indian team has to play series against Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia and England. It will start with the home series against Bangladesh. A series of 2 Tests and 3 T20 matches will be played between India and Bangladesh.

After this, the New Zealand team will tour India. Then a 3-match Test series is to be played between the two. At the end of the year, the Indian team will tour Australia, where a 5-match Test series will be played between the two. After this, the England team will tour India and then both teams will play a series of 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches.
