Khulna Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (South) Mohammad Tajul Islam told India Today that the teenager has been admitted to an army hospital. He is now out of danger.

Islam told India Today that on Wednesday a group of students from a local madrasa brought a teenager to the police station. The madrasa students alleged that the teenager had made derogatory comments about the Prophet of Islam on Facebook. They took the teenager to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Sonadanga.
