‘If you get a job, you and the children will…’, he kept raping the woman by giving false promises of marriage

A sensational case of raping a woman on the pretext of marriage has come to light in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh. When the woman asked the man to marry her, the man refused and threatened to kill her. On the complaint of the victim woman, the police registered an FIR in the case and arrested the accused. Police say that action is being taken in the case.

The incident is from a village in Saini Kotwali area. A woman living here has complained to the police accusing a neighbour Ritesh Kumar of rape. The victim told the police that he had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage and kept saying that he would marry her once he gets a job. Taking advantage of this, the young man kept raping her for many years. And he said, once I get a job, I will take good care of you and your children.

rape by threatening

Not only this, the woman also alleges that Ritesh Kumar kept threatening and raping her. He also said that if she tells anyone, he will kill her. But somehow she mustered courage and reached Saini police station and filed a written complaint against the accused youth. The police registered a case under serious sections and arrested the accused youth and sent him to jail.

SP said this in the matter

SP Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said that a case of raping a woman on the pretext of marriage was registered at Thana Saini. A person has been arrested and sent to jail on the charge of raping a woman on the pretext of marriage. The victim has been medically examined. Also, her statement has been recorded. Soon a charge sheet will be sent to the court in the case and strict action will be taken.
