‘If we are divided, we will be cut… but here people are dying even after being united’, said Swami Prasad Maurya on Farrukhabad incident

The bodies of two girls were found hanging from a tree in Farrukhabad, UP. The relatives of the deceased girls have suspected their murder. At the same time, the police have denied the possibility of rape and murder. They are looking at the case as a suicide. Meanwhile, political rhetoric has started on the incident. Swami Prasad Maurya has targeted the state government regarding this. He has condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the culprits.

Swami Prasad wrote on ‘X’ – “A tragic incident occurred in Bhagoutipur village of Kaimganj police station in Farrukhabad where the bodies of two Dalit girls were found hanging from a tree. Both the girls had gone to see the Krishna Janmashtami fair organized on 26th August. When they did not return home, the family members searched for them and found the bodies of the girls hanging from the tree. It is suspected that these girls were gang-raped, then murdered and their bodies were hung from the tree. I condemn this heinous act.”

Swami Prasad Maurya targets the Chief Minister

Swami Prasad Maurya further wrote that Chief Minister, you say that if we are divided, we will die, but here we are united and yet we are being divided and dying. Let me see whether your heart melts or not, whether we get justice or not?

Akhilesh said this

At the same time, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the bodies of two girls who had gone out to see the Janmashtami festival in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, found hanging from a tree is a very sensitive incident. The BJP government should immediately conduct an impartial investigation in this matter and submit its report on this suspicious case of murder. Such incidents create a horrific atmosphere in the society, which causes a deep mental trauma to the women society. The inevitable time has come to raise women’s safety as a serious issue, rising above politics.

What did the police say?

In this case, Farrukhabad SP Alok Priyadarshi said that we received information from Kaimganj’s Bhagoutipur village that two girls (aged 18 and 15 years) were found hanging from a tree. It has been found that both were close friends. Both hanged themselves using the same dupatta. According to the investigation so far, the entire case is of suicide. No injury marks have been found on the bodies of both the girls. Now under what circumstances did they commit suicide? Why did they do it? The police will investigate this. At present, a phone and SIM have been recovered from the spot.

Congress also surrounded the government

UP Congress also surrounded the state government on this issue and said that this state has become a crematorium for women. UP Congress wrote on X – The bodies of two girls who went to the temple on Janmashtami day in Farrukhabad were found hanging in a mango orchard. Who hanged them here? Why did they hang them? No one knows anything. This state has become a crematorium for women. No woman who steps out of the house feels safe here. The government should take some concrete steps to rein in the fearless beasts! Till when will our sisters and daughters keep breathing in the shadow of fear?
