‘If our enemy. Khaleda Zia’s party got angry at India over Sheikh Hasina, gave a threat!

Amid the unrest in Bangladesh due to the student movement, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and moved to India and is currently here. Due to this, her arch rival and former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is angry with India. The party has said that if India helps Sheikh Hasina, it will become difficult to continue cooperation with her.

Speaking to the Times of India, Geshwar Roy, a senior BNP leader and former minister, said his party supports mutual cooperation between India and Bangladesh. But, “If you help our enemy, it will be difficult for us to continue mutual cooperation.”

He also alleged that India had supported Sheikh Hasina’s return to power. Geshwar Roy further said, ‘India is carrying Sheikh Hasina… The people of India and Bangladesh have no problems with each other. But should India promote one party instead of the entire country?’
