‘If BJP does not give me a ticket, I will contest elections from Congress’, former Haryana PWD minister said bluntly

Before the Haryana elections, there is a tussle going on in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding ticket distribution. Meanwhile, many leaders have already started showing their stance regarding tickets. Former PWD minister Narbir Singh has made his intention clear about contesting the elections.

Narbir Singh has given a big statement in Gurugram. He said, ‘I am going to contest the election from Badshahpur. If I get a ticket from the Bharatiya Janata Party, then it is fine, otherwise I will contest the election from the Congress Party.’ However, Narbir Singh has also made it clear that he will not contest the election as an independent. He further said, ‘Some people in the party (BJP) are with me and some are against me.

In 2019, BJP had cut his ticket

Let us tell you that Narbir Singh has also been the Public Works Department (PWD) minister during the tenure of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Narbir Singh contested the Badshahpur assembly election on a BJP ticket in 2014 and also won. However, after this, his ticket was cut in the next election (2019).

It is said that Narbir Singh’s ticket was cut in the 2019 assembly elections at the behest of Union Minister Rao Indrajit. Since then, Narbir Singh had a pain in his heart about this. This time the same pain is coming to the fore. Let us tell you that Narbir Singh is the in-law of senior Congress leader Rao Dan Singh. Narbir’s daughter is married to Rao Dan Singh’s son.

Announcement of election dates in Haryana

Let us tell you that voting will be held in a single phase for 90 seats of Haryana Assembly. The Election Commission had earlier announced voting for Haryana on October 1. The results were to come on October 4. But now the commission has changed the dates. Now voting will be held in the state on October 5 instead of October 1. Now, the counting of votes will be held on October 8 instead of October 4.
