IDF attacks school amid polio campaign in Gaza, 11 Palestinians killed

The Safad School located in Al Zeitoun of Gaza city has now turned into ruins. It has been completely destroyed in Israeli air strikes. At least 11 people have died in this attack, while many people have been seriously injured. The intensity of this attack can be gauged from the debris of the school and the dust rising all around. After the attack, people are engaged in rescue work. Efforts are being made to evacuate people.

A spokesman for Gaza’s civil defense said, “Israel’s massacre continues. First, Safad school was targeted. This school was providing shelter to thousands of displaced people, which was destroyed. We are witnessing a real massacre and extremely horrific scenes. Civil defense and medical teams are working to recover the bodies and save as many lives as possible, but the situation is extremely sad and scary.”

Hundreds of displaced Palestinians have taken refuge in this school in Gaza city. This Israeli attack has come at a time when Hamas and Israel have agreed for a short time for the United Nations polio vaccination campaign. Vaccination campaign is also going on in Al Zeitoun area. IDF also blew up many houses in Rafah. The war between Hamas and Israel has been going on for about 11 months. More than 40 thousand 700 Palestinians have been killed.

On the other hand, after the bodies of 6 Israeli hostages were found in Gaza, the protests in Israel have turned violent. There was a fierce clash between the protesters and the police in Tel Aviv. Hundreds of protesters set fire on the streets and raised slogans against Prime Minister Netanyahu. During this time, more than two dozen people were arrested across the country. The protesters are demanding Netanyahu to reach an agreement with Hamas for the release of the remaining hostages.

According to Israeli media, not only in Tel Aviv but also in Jerusalem and many other cities, about 5 lakh people protested against Prime Minister Netanyahu. He has been constantly accused of not showing seriousness for the release of the hostages. Therefore, the Israeli trade union has also announced a nationwide strike on Monday and demanded that the government should reach an agreement with Hamas as soon as possible for the release of 101 hostages, otherwise the strike will continue for a long time.

The nationwide strike in Israel is also affecting hospitals, due to which serious surgeries had to be stopped in hospitals. At the same time, due to the protest, many flights were canceled at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv. Due to this, passengers had to face a lot of trouble. Let us tell you that the bodies of 6 hostages were recovered in Rafah, Gaza, after which the series of protests against the Netanyahu government has intensified.
