A different kind of case has come to light in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal. The work that was to be done by police or administration officials was done by social media users and influencers. Facebook users found a French bulldog stolen from a bungalow in the capital’s VVIP area. The foreign breed dog belonged to a senior IAS officer of the state.
Actually, what happened was that on 24th July at around 12 noon, a foreign breed dog suddenly went missing from the bungalow of a senior IAS officer posted in a major department in Arera Hills and living in the city’s most posh Char Imli area.
The disappearance of the dog created panic among the servants of the bungalow. The IAS officer’s wife got the servants to search for the dog at possible places, but the result was zero.

After this, the IAS officer’s wife, instead of involving the police and administration in this matter, gave the responsibility of searching for the dog to social media influencers.
A ‘missing’ post was put up and the dog’s picture was shared and it was written- “This French dog has gone missing from Char Imli on 24th July at 12 noon, if anyone sees it, please contact the concerned numbers.”
When the information was shared on social media platforms, the influencers’ campaign bore fruit. Finally, the dog that had gone missing from the Kolar suburb of the city was found.
Confirmed sources said that a person had taken the senior IAS’s French bulldog from outside the bungalow and taken it to his house. However, after finding the dog after 48 hours, the IAS couple heaved a sigh of relief. At present, no complaint has been lodged in this matter.
