IAS Pooja Khedkar’s father gets relief from arrest till July 25

Puja Khedkar, The Pune Sessions Court has granted bail to controversial probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar’s father Dilip Khedkar (Dilip Khedkar) has been granted interim protection from arrest till July 25 in a case where he is accused of threatening a local farmer over a land dispute. Dilip Khedkar had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the court on Friday. Khedkar, along with his wife Manorama Khedkar, is a co-accused of threatening a local farmer over a land dispute. Manorama Khedkar was arrested in the same case on Thursday and sent to police custody till July 20.

A company called Thermoverta linked to Manorama Khedkar was sealed

Meanwhile, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has sealed a company called Thermoverita in Pune linked to Manorama Khedkar for alleged tax default of Rs 2.77 lakh. PCMC commissioner Shekhar Singh said property tax for 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 for Thermoverita India Pvt Ltd is pending for the past two years. Additionally, the current year’s dues have also not been paid. Since their dues in 2023 were not paid, we initially issued notices and later disconnected their water supply as a graded response. Since the dues are pending for the past two years, our next step was to seal the property. The total dues for the past two years are Rs 1.96 lakh and the total amount including the current year’s dues is Rs 2.77 lakh, he said.

Union Public Service Commission (Union Public Service Commission) on Friday said it has lodged an FIR against IAS probationer Pooja Manorama Dilip Khedkar for allegedly misrepresenting her identity to gain fraudulent advantage beyond the permissible limit. The commission said it has also issued a show-cause notice to her for cancellation of her selection and debarring her from future examinations.

This investigation revealed that she had availed more attempts than the limit admissible under the examination rules by altering her identity by changing her name, her father’s and mother’s name, her photograph or signature, her email ID, mobile number and address, the UPSC said in a press release. Khedkar was a provisionally recommended candidate for the Civil Services Examination, 2022.
