ajit pawarBig claim of: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Ajit Pawar on Friday said that if the news of him going to New Delhi under a disguised identity to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah before his party’s alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is proved to be true, he will quit politics. Ajit Pawar said that but if the news is found to be false, then those making allegations against him should quit politics.
Who is defaming Ajit Pawar?
The Deputy Chief Minister also alleged that attempts were being made to defame him. Reports published in a section of the media claimed that during an informal conversation held recently, Ajit Pawar had said that he had some meetings with Amit Shah in the national capital on an alliance between the two parties. During that conversation, Ajit Pawar reportedly said, “I used to wear a mask and cap while traveling by air to Delhi to attend those meetings. I had also changed my name for air travel.”
‘I don’t do politics by hiding anything’
Based on Ajit’s alleged statements, leaders of Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) targeted him. However, while talking to journalists here on Friday, Ajit said that he does not do politics by hiding anything. He said, ‘I am a worker working in democracy. I do not have the habit of doing politics by hiding anything. However, we have been defamed by the opponents through fake statements and false news.’

‘Then I will leave politics’, why did Ajit say this
Ajit said that his opponents are frustrated with the good schemes being implemented by the government, so they are saying such things. He said, ‘The news of me going to Delhi after changing my identity is false. If I have to go somewhere, I will go openly. I do not need to be afraid of anyone. If the news of me going after changing my identity proves to be true, then I will leave politics.’ The Deputy Chief Minister said, ‘But if the news is found to be false, then those who are making allegations without any proof or facts should leave politics.’
Ajit said, ‘When all this happened, I was the leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Everyone knows me, so it is impossible for this to happen. Whatever is going on at present is false. These reports have no basis or evidence.’ Referring to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, Pawar said, ‘At present, efforts are being made to defame me in the state. The number of people talking nonsense has increased.’
