‘I will get you admission in top MBBS college of South India’, Lucknow student duped of Rs 25 lakh

A case of fraud of Rs 25 lakh in the name of admission in MBBS has come to light in Lucknow. According to the information, a fraudster extorted Rs 25 lakh in the name of getting a student admitted in a college in South India. Police has started investigation on the complaint. However, the fraudster has not been arrested yet.

According to the information, the accused Gagan, who lives in Gomti Nagar Extension, told the student living in Lucknow that he was the director of an education foundation. He also told the student that he does counseling for admission in big engineering and medical colleges of South India. In such a situation, he will get her admission in a good college of South.

The student got convinced by Gagan’s words. After which Gagan took 25 lakh rupees from the student. However, when the admission was not done, the student asked for the money from the accused. But the accused Gagan refused to give the money. After that, the victim’s family filed a case in Gomti Nagar Extension, Lucknow. After which the police is investigating the case.

DCP East Zone Shashank Singh says that a case of fraud of Rs 25 lakh has come to light in the name of getting admission for a student. A case has been registered on the complaint of the student and her family. The accused Gagan is being searched. He will be arrested soon and legal action will be taken against him.
