‘I wanted my daughter’s body to stay in the house for a little longer, so that…’, Rajendra Nagar coaching accident victim Shreya Yadav’s father said something that made people cry

Shreya Yadav, a student from Ambedkar Nagar, was among the three people who died due to waterlogging in the basement of RAU’S IAS Study Centre in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. Today, with a heavy heart, the family performed the last rites of their promising daughter Shreya (25) at the cremation ground in her native village. Everyone got emotional seeing the condition of the father and the family. The father raised his daughter and sent her out to fulfill her dreams, today he had to perform the last rites of that same daughter with his own hands. The father, brother, uncle and the villagers were silently watching Shreya’s pyre burning.

Shreya Yadav’s father and brother expressed their pain in front of the media. During this, Shreya’s father said something that would bring tears to anyone’s eyes. The father said that he wanted his daughter’s body to stay in the house for a little longer. Because, he knew that the daughter’s funeral would have to be done in a short while. That’s why he wanted to see his daughter’s face as much as possible. After the funeral, we will never be able to see her again.

Shreya’s father said that even after the funeral, his daughter’s face is repeatedly appearing in front of his eyes. He is unable to understand what to do and what not to do. Our world has been destroyed. We had sent her to study with great hopes. We never thought that something like this would happen.

Shreya’s uncle was standing nearby, who had got his niece admitted to RAU’S IAS Study Centre in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. He was taking care of Shreya in Delhi as a local guardian. But destiny had something else in store. His tears were not stopping after seeing his niece’s dead body.

There is mourning in the house of Shreya Yadav, who was a victim of Rajendra Nagar coaching incident. The family members are crying a lot. They cannot believe that the body of Shreya who had gone to become an IAS has come home. Shreya’s mother Shanti says with tears in her eyes that she had talked to her daughter on phone a day before the incident. She had said that she misses everyone a lot. She asked about everyone’s well-being and said that she will come back after fulfilling her dream. But when the news of her death came, we were shaken.

Shreya’s mother raised questions about running a coaching centre in the basement and demanded action against the culprits. She said that her daughter had said that she would become an IAS officer, but who knew this would happen. Our daughter is gone. What could be a bigger grief than this?

Let us tell you that three students died due to water filling in the basement of the coaching centre located in Rajendra Nagar, among whom was Shreya from Ambedkar Nagar. The last rites of the body of the student Shreya Yadav were performed in her native village on Monday morning. During this, a large number of local people gathered in Shreya’s village Hasimpur Barsawan. Shreya Yadav’s books, notes etc. are lying in her house. Seeing them, the family members are just saying that the daughter’s dream was to become an IAS, but negligence swallowed her life.
