I asked Netanyahu to end the Gaza war, when Donald Trump spoke to the Israeli PM

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump held a press conference at the New Jersey Golf Club on Thursday (August 15). In this 80-minute conference, he tried to link his Democratic rival Kamala Harris to the economic record of the Biden administration. On a question from a journalist, Anant Singh said, “During our last meeting in July, I had asked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end Israel’s war in Gaza soon.”

Speaking to reporters, Trump said that I requested to end the war and said that it has to be ended quickly, but win, get your victory and end it. This has to be stopped, the killing has to be stopped.

Donald Trump was referring to his meeting with Netanyahu at his residence Mar-a-Lago in late July, when Netanyahu visited the US. During his visit, he also met President Joe Biden and Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Both Netanyahu’s office and Trump on Thursday separately denied an Axios report that said they had talked about a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release talks the previous day. In addition, Trump blamed US Vice President Kamala Harris for the inflation in the country.
