Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has condemned the incident of brutality and subsequent murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Speaking to the media during a program, Ganguly said that being the father of a daughter, he is very shocked by this incident.

According to the news agency, he said that West Bengal and India are considered safe and no judgement should be given on the entire system on the basis of a single incident. Ganguly said, ‘This is a heinous incident, there can be no forgiveness for such a crime. He said that the authorities should take immediate action.’

He said that although such incidents can happen anywhere, it is unfortunate that such a heinous incident happened inside the hospital. The former cricketer has demanded strong security arrangements in medical institutions.
Let us tell you that people across the country were outraged over the case of murder of a female doctor after brutality in the medical college and hospital premises. The body of the female trainee doctor was found in the seminar hall on Friday morning.
The accused had watched porn before the rape
The police have arrested the accused in the rape and murder case. The accused is an outsider who used to visit the hospital premises frequently. The police arrested him on Saturday after the incident. During interrogation, it was revealed that before making the female doctor his victim, he had watched a porn movie and also consumed alcohol.
Regarding this matter, Ganguly also said that it would not be right to criticize the entire system on the basis of a single incident. The former BCCI chief said that he believes that women in West Bengal and India are generally safe and such heinous crimes can happen anywhere in the world.
