Biden further said, “We must unite ourselves to save American democracy… It has become clear to me that I must unite my party in this important effort. I believe that my record as president, my leadership, and my vision for America’s future all deserve a second term, but no one can come in the way of saving our democracy.”

Biden said, “I got a chance to work for the American people and I am happy with that. But this is not about me but it is about you, your families, your future. It is about us… I believe that America is standing at a critical juncture.”

Praise for Kamala Harris

In his Oval Office address, Biden described Kamala Harris as a qualified and capable candidate for the November elections and said, “She is experienced, tough and capable. She has been an incredible partner to me and a dedicated leader to our country. Now the choice is up to you, the American people. America must choose between hope and hate. Whether we keep our republic is in the hands of Americans.”

He further said that he will complete the remaining six months of his term. He stressed that he has a busy list of tasks. The President mentioned that he will work to end the war in Gaza, continue to mobilize support for Ukraine, and reform the Supreme Court.

Giving information about this, she said in a post on Instagram, ‘I am proud to have secured the necessary support to become my party’s candidate. In the next few months, I will travel across the country and talk to Americans on every issue. I am confident that I will unite my party and the country as well as defeat Trump.’
