Cyber ​​fraudsters are in high spirits. Strange cases of fraud are coming to light every day. Meanwhile, a shocking news has come from Delhi. Where a scammer tried to defraud Rs 500 by introducing himself as the Chief Justice of India (CJI). This incident is said to have happened on Tuesday.

According to the information, an ex-user told that he received a message. In that message it was written that Hello! I am the CJI and we have an urgent meeting of the Collegium and I am stuck in Cannaught Place. Can you send me 500 rupees for a cab? I will return this amount to you as soon as I reach the court. This message ended with ‘Send from iPad’. In the picture of the person sending the message, the picture of CJI DY Chandrachud was visible.

After the news of this fraud came to light, the Supreme Court lodged a complaint with the cyber cell. Officials say that the matter is being investigated and the fraudster is being searched for.

The spirits of cyber thugs can be gauged from the fact that news of fraud has come from every part of the country. This information was given by the Central Government in the Lok Sabha. According to the report presented by the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh has seen the highest number of cyber crimes in 2022-23. During this period, 2 lakh people have been subjected to cyber fraud in UP. Cyber ​​thugs have defrauded Rs 721.1 crore in UP during this period.

After this, Maharashtra and then Gujarat have the highest number of cyber crime cases. Cyber ​​police stations are being operated in 16 districts to deal with cyber crime in Uttar Pradesh. Senior officers have been deployed to prevent cyber crime. Efforts are being made to stop the activities of these cyber thugs by using modern technology. If we talk about the data related to cyber fraud in the financial year 2022-23, then 11.28 lakh cases were reported across the country.
