Horrible road accident in Thane, Maharashtra… 3 people travelling in a car to visit Bhimashankar died and 3 were injured

A car went out of control and collided with a tree in Thane, Maharashtra. In this accident, three people in the car died on the spot and three people were injured. The police reached the spot, took the bodies in custody and sent them for postmortem and took the injured to the hospital. This accident happened at Borande village of Tokavade police station at around 8.30 pm on Sunday night.

According to the information, the car occupants were going to visit Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga from Kalyan. During this, the car went out of control and hit a tree in Tokavade. The deceased have been identified as Narendra Mhatre (34), Pratik Chorghe (30) and Ashwin Bhoir (28). At the same time, the injured have been identified as Shivaji Ghadge (35), Vaibhav Kumawat (24) and Akshay Ghadge (25). All were residents of Kalyan taluka of Thane district.

Police said that all the people in the car had boarded an Ertiga car from Kalyan to go to Bhimashankar temple on Sunday night. When the car reached Tokavade, the driver lost control of the car and the car collided with a tree. All were trapped in the car. People nearby reached the spot and informed the local police. They were taken to a nearby hospital.

However, three people were declared dead, while three have fractures in their legs and hands. They are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Assistant Police Inspector Dinkar Chakor of Tokawade Police Station said, we came to know that the deceased Narendra Mhatre was a contractor in Kalyan and the other two deceased worked at Mhatre’s site. After the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to his family for last rites.
