Hindus have been sitting on the streets since August 5 against attacks in Bangladesh! Sheikh Hasina’s party shared videos

An interim government has been formed in the neighboring country Bangladesh. After the violence that broke out on Monday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to resign from the post of PM and leave the country. Many houses and temples of the Hindu community were also targeted in this violence. India has expressed concern over this and has asked the head of the new interim government Mohammad Yusuf to ensure the safety of Hindu minorities. Meanwhile, the Awami League has claimed in a post on social media that Hindus have been protesting in Dhaka since August 5.

Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League shared some pictures on the social media platform X and wrote, ‘Hindus in Bangladesh have taken to the streets in Shahbagh, the capital Dhaka, to protest attacks on their fellow citizens, properties and places of worship since August 5. In fact, sporadic attacks were taking place even during the peak of violence at the center of the anti-reservation movement.’

UN said- we are against racial violence

Amid violence against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ spokesperson said he is against any racially based attacks or violence. “We have made it clear, we want to ensure that the violence that has been taking place in Bangladesh in recent weeks is pacified. Of course, we are against any racially based attacks or inciting racially based violence,” Secretary-General’s Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq said on Thursday.
