Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the war-torn Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on August 23. This will be the first time in Ukraine’s history that an Indian Prime Minister will visit Kyiv. The Indian community living here is very excited about this visit. A school in Ukraine is also excited about PM Modi’s visit.
Ukrainian children learn Hindi in this school. This shows how much love there is for Hindi in Ukraine. Even 6-year-old children are learning Hindi in this school. Indian students have also sent gifts for these children. All these children are also very excited about PM Modi’s visit.

An 11-year-old Ukrainian child studying in this school while talking to Aaj Tak said that I have been learning Hindi for five years. A girl student said that Hindi is a very beautiful language and I like India very much. Another girl student said that I am learning Hindi because my father is from India.
A graduate from Ukraine’s prestigious Taras Shevchko University and a famous professor, while talking to Aaj Tak in Hindi, said, “I want to thank you for coming to Ukraine in this difficult time. As far as Narendra Modi’s visit is concerned, we hope that it will perhaps create history. Because this is the first visit of an Indian PM. I know something about Indian policy and also know Indian history.”
