Enforcement Directorate (Ed) is conducting raids at several places including Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Kangra, Una, Shimla, Mandi, Kullu in Himachal Pradesh. This raid has been done in a case related to making fake Ayushman Bharat AB-PMJAY ID cards and violation of the scheme against some hospitals including Banke Bihari Hospital, Fortis Hospital.

Many medical bills have been raised on such fake cards, causing loss to the government exchequer and the public. The names of Congress MLA from Nagrota in Himachal Pradesh RS Bali, Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation and Vice Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Board and Dr Rajesh Sharma of Shri Balaji Hospital, Kangra have also surfaced in the fraud and their premises are also being searched.
Vigilance had registered a case in Una, Himachal Pradesh
In the scam related to Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Vigilance had registered a case in Una, Himachal Pradesh. This case was later taken over by ED.
Apart from Kangra, action was also taken in Shimla and Mandi
Apart from Una and Kangra, the ED team has also taken action in Shimla and Mandi and other private institutions including Banke Bihari Hospital, Fortis Hospital are being investigated.
