Heavy rain in Delhi-NCR in the morning, many areas submerged

Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) received heavy rains early on Tuesday morning, after which the weather became pleasant. Along with this, waterlogging was also seen in many areas of Delhi. Rains occurred in many areas of Pitampura, Delhi University, Narela and East Delhi, while many other areas of Delhi remained dry. Rains have also occurred in areas of the National Capital Region (NCR) including Ghaziabad and Noida. After the rain, such visuals are also coming in, in which it can be seen that the entire auto has submerged in water after getting filled with water. Pitampura and Delhi University have received more than 5 cm of rain in about 2 hours.

The weather department has predicted generally cloudy skies with light rain and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

There is severe waterlogging in many parts of Delhi due to continuous rain. An autorickshaw drowned in the water after the rain.

Delhi Rain

Heavy rains can be seen in Noida Sector 10 in Uttar Pradesh. The rains occurred in the early hours of Tuesday after the IMD issued an ‘orange’ alert for the area.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued an ‘orange’ alert for entire Delhi and southwest NCR till 9:05 am on Tuesday. The weather agency had warned that moderate to intense rain (1-3 cm/hr) will continue in central and east Delhi during the next one hour.

The rain has brought relief to many areas, the temperature has dropped significantly and there has been relief from the scorching heat. At the same time, travelers have had a mixed experience with the rain. While some people are enjoying the pleasant weather, others are facing the challenges of waterlogging on the roads and increasing traffic.
