Heavy rain in Ajmer, roads submerged, school children rescued and taken to safe places in hearse

Rain has broken all records in Rajasthan, continuous rain in Ajmer has made life difficult for people. Water from Ana Sagar Lake and Foy Sagar Lake has now started entering people’s homes. By 2 pm, 4 inches of rain had fallen in Ajmer.

Waterlogging occurred on the roads on both sides of the posh area of ​​Vaishali Nagar. The roads of Jaipur Road, Information Center Square, Medical College Square, Savitri College Road and other areas of the city were also seen submerged in water, due to which people had to face problems.

Many areas were flooded due to heavy rain

Due to heavy rains and the rising waters of the Bandi river, the Queen Mary School was flooded. Upon reaching the spot, the rescue team of SDRF and Civil Defence took out the small children on their shoulders and the older children with the help of ropes and took them to safe places. There were about 500 children present in the school, who were safely taken to their homes. The city’s transport system has completely collapsed, photos of children being taken through water in tractors and hearse vehicles are also going viral. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert.

After about 45 years, the rain drain overflowed on Hatundi Road in Badgaon area. The water of the drain started flowing rapidly on the main road. Due to this, a crowd of people gathered near the Hatundi Road crematorium. A motorcyclist tried to take his two-wheeler out through the water and fell. Fortunately, he was not swept away in the water. Local people say that this rain drain had overflowed in 1979.

People are facing a lot of trouble in commuting on Foy Sagar Road. Similarly, from Chowpatty to Christian Ganj temple, the water of Ana Sagar lake has crossed its limit and has come on the road. Water is being continuously drained from the lake into Ana Sagar escape channel.
