A video of a UP government officer has surfaced in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, in which he is seen hitting a person with a head shot, i.e. with his head like a bull. This video is from the time when ADM City Alok Verma had come with the Varanasi Development Authority and the police-administration to demolish Hotel Banaras Kothi and River Palace built in the city’s green belt. It is alleged that both the hotels were being run illegally on a commercial basis on a residential map.
During the demolition process, there was an altercation between the hotel owner and ADM City Alok Verma. During this, ADM City lost his temper and hit the hotel owner with a hate shot, due to which the hotel owner got injured. During this, the demolition process of the hotel did not stop and the high voltage drama continued for several hours. Now after this video surfaced, politics has also started.

Actually, orders were issued for the demolition of two hotels. It was said that both the hotels Banaras Kothi and River Palace are in the submerged area in the Green Belt. The Varanasi Development Authority had ordered the demolition of these hotels for illegal construction. In compliance with this, ADM City had come to take action and he lost his temper.

What did the hotel owner say about the whole matter?
Mohammed Farooq Khan, owner of Hotel River Palace and Banaras Kothi, said that the license of our hotel is also passed. The map of one of our hotels was passed in 1999 and the map of the other hotel was passed in 2012. Green belt was determined in the year 2014, but the map of our building was not passed saying that it is residential. We applied to get the map made commercial and today they are coming to demolish our hotel.
Last night, the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) said that no new bookings will be made. The electricity was cut off despite the electricity bill and house tax being paid. They said that we are the only Muslims in the hotel trade. That is why this is happening to us and we also organise Bhagwat Katha and Shiv Puran throughout the year.
Hotel owner’s son Khurshid Alam, who was injured by ADM City’s head shot, said that we are Muslims, that’s why this is happening to us. There are 756 houses in the submerged area. No one has the courage to demolish them. Action has been taken against us. Our petition has also been filed, but they did not give time. My family lives here and the map of G+2 is approved and is in the entire area. Everyone has the same map, but only my construction is being demolished. Today ADM City hit me, because I only asked for time from ADM City to give time to my family to leave. Khurshid Alam alleged that the officials from top to bottom in Varanasi Development Authority ask for money. My hotel is being demolished because I did not give money.
