An accident happened on the occasion of Independence Day (15th August) in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, in which a 19-year-old youth lost his life. Actually, the youth had climbed the roof of his shop to hoist the tricolor flag, when he came in contact with the electricity line passing above. He fell down from the roof as soon as he got electrocuted. People present nearby rushed him to the hospital but by then it was too late.

The incident is from Sikandrarao town of Hathras, where Suhail had climbed the roof of his shop to hoist the tricolor flag. A high tension line passes near the same roof. While hoisting the flag, Suhail came in contact with this high tension line. As soon as he got an electric shock, Suhail fell from the roof to the ground.

As soon as people saw the scene, they were shocked. They immediately rushed Suhail to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared him dead. As soon as the news of Suhail’s death reached, there was chaos among the family members. They are inconsolable and are crying.

According to the information, Suhail (son of Naeem), a resident of Khijarganj in Sikandrarao town of the district, has a shop near the Nagar Palika. Inspired by the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, Suhail also climbed the roof of his shop to hoist a flag, from where a high tension power line was passing. Suhail got hit by the current and fell down from the roof. The family and the neighboring shopkeepers immediately took him to the hospital but the doctor declared him dead. The family has accused the Nagar Palika of negligence regarding the power line.

It is worth mentioning that two days ago, a child died after coming in contact with the current coming from the electric pole near Mohalla Lala Ka Nagla in Hathras. The condition of the other child was critical. He is being treated in the district hospital.
