A case has been filed against Devprakash, the main sevadar of the Hathras program
Hathras stampede, 116 people have died and many are injured in the stampede during the satsang in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, it has been reported that an FIR has been registered against the main sevadar of the satsang program, Devprakash and other organizers. The FIR has been registered under sections 105, 110, 126 (2), 223 and 238 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), 2023.
Allegations against the organizers and the sevadars in the complaint lodged in the FIR
- With sticks in their hands, the organizing committee and volunteers stopped the crowd running in the other direction. Due to this, the pressure of the crowd kept increasing and people kept getting crushed.
- When the police administration was providing help on the spot, the volunteers did not cooperate.
- The evidence was hidden by picking up people’s left behind belongings, clothes, shoes and slippers and throwing them in the crop in the adjacent field.
