What warning did the police give
Noida Cyber Cell Police has warned that scam messages related to income tax refund are being sent. These messages encourage users to contact a specific number or click on a link. As a precautionary measure, the police advise to ignore any such message to avoid falling prey to scam activities.

The Income Tax Department has issued an advisory to caution people against interacting or clicking on any hyperlink claiming to provide income tax refunds. Also, people are urged not to share any one-time password (OTP), PAN card details or other relevant information over the phone.
