Haryana: Why did BJP lose 5 seats in the Lok Sabha elections? CM Saini told the reason

Voting is to be held on October 5 for 90 assembly seats in Haryana. All the parties have started campaigning for this. BJP is facing the challenge of saving power. Aaj Tak had a special conversation with Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini regarding BJP’s preparations, strategies and shortcomings. During this, CM Saini answered about the preparations for the assembly elections as well as the defeat on 5 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

In Aaj Tak’s new show ‘CM Sahab’, Anjana Om Kashyap asked CM Saini about BJP’s performance in Haryana in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Out of the 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, BJP had won 5 seats. When asked about this, what was the reason for the defeat on 5 seats? Was it the opposition’s attack on the Constitution, or the issue of unemployment, inflation or wrestlers? On this, CM Saini said that the number of medals of players has increased before and after 2014. This has been possible when the government has increased the facilities in these 10 years.

‘5 seats lost due to opposition’s lies’

Regarding the defeat in 5 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, Nayab Singh Saini said that during the campaign, the opposition told many lies about the constitution and reservation. Then they whispered in people’s ears that as soon as the election results come, everyone will get Rs 8,500 in their account. The public is innocent but the Congress resorts to lies. The public got misled by the opposition. However, now slowly the public is understanding their lies.

What did he say on the allegation of nepotism?

CM Saini was asked that BJP says that we contest elections against nepotism and you give tickets only to families. In response, he said, ‘Who do you consider as nepotism. The nepotism is Rahul, Priyanka, Sonia Gandhi. I am a son of a poor family, I was made the Chief Minister of Haryana, a person who did not have any background was picked up from a poor house and made the Chief Minister. Could this have been imagined in Congress, could anyone have thought about it. If this thinking is possible then it is only in the Bharatiya Janata Party that the party will work to take forward the worker who works, who is moving ahead with honesty. This is possible only in the Bharatiya Janata Party.’

‘Congress is doing politics over Vinesh’

When asked, BJP was already surrounded on the issue of wrestlers and now both Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia have joined Congress, isn’t this a setback for BJP? CM Saini replied, ‘They are our players. They are the diamonds of our Haryana. They are the pride of our country. They are such people who have raised the name of India but Congress does politics.’

What did CM Saini say on the issue of MSP?

On the issue of MSP for farmers, the Chief Minister said, ‘Our Haryana is considered the rice bowl. The maximum production of rice is done by the farmers of Haryana. Since this whole issue is related to the Centre. The Centre buys it, the price of Rs 2300 which increases every year, this time it is Rs 2300 per quintal. The government is working to buy it.’
