Shambhu Border, Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered to open Shambhu border. The High Court has given Haryana government a deadline of 1 week to open the road. The court has also given instructions to open NH from Shambhu border. The High Court has also asked the farmer unions to maintain law and order. Apart from this, the High Court has also ordered to form an SIT to investigate the death of farmer Shubhkaran on Khanauri border. Farmers organizations of Punjab were sitting on dharna on Shambhu border since February 13.

The closure of the border is causing a lot of difficulty to the common people, as NH 44 is considered the lifeline of this area. NH 44 connects the national capital New Delhi to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.
