Haryana government reached Supreme Court against the order to open Shambhu border, said- ‘High Court should not give such order’

Shambhu Border News, The Haryana government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Punjab Haryana High Court to open the Shambhu border. On July 10, while hearing a PIL, the Punjab Haryana High Court had directed the Haryana government to open the barricades of Shambhu border within a week. In the petition filed against this order, the Haryana government says that it has kept the road closed in view of restoring law and order. The High Court should not give such an order.

It is believed that on Monday, the Haryana government may demand an early hearing on this petition from the Supreme Court. Let us tell you, the Supreme Court had also made a strong comment on the closure of Shambhu border. The Supreme Court reprimanded the Haryana government and said that how can a government block the highway. The government’s job is to regulate traffic. It is not its job to close the highway.

What is the matter?

Actually, Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered to open Shambhu border. For the last six months, farmers have been camping here to march to Delhi. Local traders had filed a petition in the High Court regarding the problems being faced due to the closure of the border, in which they had demanded to open Shambhu border. Supreme Court made a big comment on the order of Punjab and Haryana High Court to open Shambhu border and also asked questions to the Haryana government.

What did the Supreme Court say?

The court reprimanded the Haryana government and asked why the state government wants to challenge the High Court’s order to open the border. Farmers are citizens, they should be provided food and good medical facilities. They will come, raise slogans and go back. The Supreme Court said that how can the state government stop the traffic on the highway. It is the government’s job to control the traffic. We say that the border should be kept open, but it should also be controlled.

There is an order to open Shambhu border within a week

Actually, this comment was made during the hearing in the Supreme Court on the petition filed by the Haryana government against the High Court’s order of judicial inquiry into the death of a 22-year-old youth protesting during the farmers’ movement. The Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered the opening of the Shambhu border on July 10. While issuing the order, the Haryana High Court had said that the Shambhu border should be opened by removing the barricading within a week.
