Haryana assembly election date may change, EC likely to announce it on Tuesday

There may be a change in the dates of the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana. Sources have given this information. A decision in this regard can be taken in the Election Commission meeting on Tuesday on the request of political parties. Let us tell you that voting will be held in a single phase for all 90 seats of the state. Voting will be held in Haryana on October 1 and the election results will come after counting of votes on October 4.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded a change in the date of voting for the Haryana Assembly elections. According to Election Commission sources, voting may take place on October 7 or 8 instead of October 1. Accordingly, the date of counting of votes may also be extended. The Election Commission may make an announcement in this regard on Tuesday.

BJP had written a letter to EC

Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli had written a letter to the Election Commission in which he had asked to change the polling date of October 1 due to fear of low voter turnout. He says that there are many holidays before and after the polling date of October 1, due to which there may be less voting, so this date should be changed.

Mohan Lal Badoli wrote a letter to the commission saying that there are holidays before and after the polling day on October 1. Due to these holidays, people may go out for a walk. This may affect the voting percentage. On this basis, he had requested the Election Commission and the Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana to change the polling date.
