“One interview in 47 days,” Perino replied.

Sams suggested that media She’s only paying attention to Harris now that she’s a presidential candidate and the 90 interviews she did this year before becoming the nominee.

“People were probably not paying attention or listening. In this campaign, she is taking questions from reporters on the campaign trail so far. People who cover it every day, she’s going to do more interviews and talk more to the press and take more questions from reporters,” he said.

“Ian, come on,” Perino said.

She rejected Sams’ claim that Harris engaged the media on the trail and claimed that simply telling the press that debate preparations were going well was not the same as answering tough questions from reporters.

“Don’t the American voters need to hear from him directly? He wants to be the Commander-in-Chief. We looked into it. And you didn’t like that either,” Perino continued.

“I hear the question. And it’s funny because it sounds like you’re acting like he’s in the witness protection program. She’s been traveling to battleground states, speaking to thousands of people in packed arenas, more packed than what President Trump is saying,” Sams said.
