Hariyali Amavasya 2024: Today is Hariyali Amavasya. Hariyali Amavasya comes three days before Hariyali Teej. Hariyali Amavasya is considered extremely auspicious in Sanatan Dharma. It is said that worshipping the Ardhanarishwar form of Lord Shiva on this day brings unending good fortune. Apart from worshipping Mahadev on the day of Hariyali Amavasya, planting trees is also said to have special importance. On this day, some divine remedies related to trees and plants are considered very beneficial.
Do these divine remedies on Hariyali Amavasya
1. It is written in Bhavishya Purana that trees are children for childless people. Trees perform the worldly and spiritual duties of those who plant trees. Therefore, those who do not have children must plant trees on this day.

3. To get a child, it is customary to worship the neem tree on this day. It is believed that it also cures diseases. Planting it on Hariyali Amavasya pacifies the sins of ancestors.
4. According to the scriptures, the three gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva reside in the Peepal tree. Worshiping it on Hariyali Amavasya relieves one from the influence of Shani.
5. Vat Vriksha is also known as Banyan tree. It is mentioned in the scriptures that worshipping it on Hariyali Amavasya brings unbroken good fortune. It brings happiness and peace in the family.
6. Worshiping the Belpatra tree in the month of Saavan destroys all sins. It is said that the Belpatra tree should be worshipped on Amavasya Tithi.
