Hardoi: 14 year old girl gang raped, killed by strangulation when she was identified, police caught one accused after encounter

The accused who gangraped and murdered a 14-year-old girl in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by the police after an encounter. A few days ago, the girl had gone to the farm from her house to get fodder. There, the miscreant along with his accomplice raped her and then strangled her to death. The girl had identified both of them and had threatened to complain. Due to this, the accused killed her. One of the accused had already been arrested. The other was caught by the police after an encounter on Thursday.

Let us tell you, on 29th July, the body of a 14 year old girl who had gone to a farm to collect fodder in a village of Thana Sandi was found in a semi-nude and blood stained condition from the bushes at a distance of 300 meters from the house. There were injury marks on the face of the deceased girl.

During the investigation, the police found out that two youths from the same village gang-raped her and then killed her. The police arrested one of the accused in this case on Wednesday itself. The second accused was caught after he was shot in the leg in an encounter on Thursday morning.

On this matter, CO Sunil Sharma said that it was found out late at night that Sonu was near Semra village. When the police reached the spot, he started firing. When the police retaliated, a bullet hit Sonu’s right leg. Constable Harishyaam was also injured in the encounter. Sonu, who was injured in the encounter, has a case registered against him in the year 2020 in police station Sandi for assaulting girls. In the year 2021, a case was registered against him for kidnapping and raping a girl. An illegal 315 bore pistol, a shell and a live cartridge were recovered from the accused.
