Gujarat Weather: There will be no relief from rain in Gujarat yet, IMD has issued yellow alert in these districts

The havoc of rain in Gujarat is not stopping. According to the Meteorological Department, the area of ​​cyclonic winds has become active in the coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the coastal areas. Apart from this, a monsoon trough is also formed from Jaisalmer and Udaipur of Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, there is still a danger of catastrophic rain in Gujarat. Very heavy rain is expected especially in the districts of South Gujarat.

Rainfall has been recorded in 133 talukas of 31 districts in Gujarat in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall was recorded in Santalpur of Patan district at 3 inches and Bechraji of Mehsana at 2.5 inches. In the last 24 hours, 3 talukas of Gujarat received more than 2 inches of rain, 11 talukas received more than 1 inch of rain and 119 talukas received less than 1 inch of rain.

Heavy rains are continuing in Ahmedabad. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of moderate rain in Ahmedabad on 5 and 6 September and heavy rain on 7 and 8 September. The intensity of rain may decrease on 9 September. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Ahmedabad may remain between 31 to 32 degrees Celsius this whole week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no red or orange alert for rain in any district of Gujarat till September 8. At the same time, today i.e. on September 5, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Kutch, Morbi, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mahesana, Surat, Bharuch, Valsad, Navsari, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Apart from this, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Valsad, Navsari, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Kutch, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mahesana on September 6.

In Gujarat, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Banaskantha, Valsad, Navsari, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli on September 7 and in Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli on September 8. Let us tell you that since June 1, more than 118% of the total rainfall of the season has been recorded in Gujarat. The highest rainfall has been recorded in Kutch at 183%, Saurashtra at 127%, South Gujarat at 121%, Central East Gujarat at 115% and North Gujarat at more than 99%.
