Gujarat: Crocodiles reaching residential areas amid floods and rains, panic among people, forest department team rescued them like this

Rainfall is causing havoc in most parts of Gujarat. The condition of floods and rains is such that now even animals are entering residential areas. Due to heavy rains in Vadodara, Gujarat, the Akota Stadium area was filled with water to such an extent that a crocodile was seen on the roof of a house. Apart from this, news of crocodiles entering residential areas is coming from various places in Vadodara.

Crocodile enters residential area

Actually, Vadodara’s Vishwamitra river is flooded, due to which crocodiles are coming out of the water and entering residential areas. People were terrified when crocodiles entered their houses. Later, the forest department team rescued the crocodile after a lot of difficulties, only then people got relief.

A similar picture was seen in Ahmedabad, where a crocodile was seen roaming in a residential area. Later, people caught it, tied it with ropes and handed it over to the forest department team.

Meteorological department issued alert

The state of Gujarat is in a lot of trouble right now. Due to more than normal rainfall, 18 districts of Gujarat are badly affected. Kutch, Dwarka, Jamnagar, Morbi, Surendranagar, Junagadh, Rajkot, Botad, Girsomnath, Amreli and Bhavnagar have been affected the most. At the same time, the situation is not going to improve even in the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain alert in Gujarat for the next 5 days. On August 29, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in 11 out of 33 districts of Gujarat and a yellow alert for rain in the remaining 22 districts. At the same time, in view of heavy rains, all primary schools have been kept closed in Vadodara, Jamnagar, Dwarka and Kutch of Gujarat today, 29 August 2024.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall among the 238 tehsils of Gujarat has occurred in Kutch, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Rajkot. Heavy rainfall of 8 to 11 inches has been recorded in Abdasa, Nakhatrana, Mandvi, Lakhpat tehsils of Kutch. Whereas Jamjodhpur, Kalawad, Lalpur tehsils of Jamnagar have received rainfall of up to 8 inches. Apart from this, heavy rainfall of 8 to 12 inches has occurred in Bhanvad, Dwarka, Khambhalia, Kalyanpur tehsils of Devbhoomi Dwarka. Lodhika, Dhoraji, Jamkandorana tehsils of Rajkot have received rainfall of up to 6 inches.
