Gujarat ATS got a big success, seized MD drug worth 800 crores from Maharashtra, two arrested

Gujarat ATS raided a flat in Nadi Naka, Bhiwandi, Maharashtra and seized 10.9 kg of semi-liquid mephedrone (MD) and 782.2 kg of liquid mephedrone (MD) filled in barrels. Its price in the international market is estimated to be Rs 800 crore. Grinder, motor, glass flask and heater used for making this drug have also been seized and two people have also been arrested.

Gujarat ATS has arrested Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil, who live in Dongri, Mumbai. Both the accused had rented a flat in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra for the last 9 months to manufacture mephedrone illegally. They had collected raw material and other items to manufacture mephedrone (MD) and started chemical processing.

He used to do smuggling from Dubai

Giving information, Gujarat ATS DIG Sunil Joshi said that the accused Mohammad Yunus also used to smuggle gold and electronic items from Dubai. When he went to Dubai, he met a man in Dubai. Along with this stranger, Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil had made a plan to gain financial benefits by illegally making and selling mephedrone (MD).

The accused are not giving information about the person from Dubai

Mephedrone samples failed several times. Both the accused are not giving any information about the person from Dubai during interrogation, whose investigation is going on. The role of another person named Sadiq, who helped them, has also come to light, about whom investigation is going on. On July 18, Gujarat ATS seized a factory making mephedrone (MD) drugs from Kareli village in Palsana, Surat.

Sunil Yadav was arrested first

Three accused were arrested in this case, out of which the names of Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil also came up after questioning accused Sunil Yadav. During the investigation of these two accused, it was found that Mohammad Yunus and Mohammad Adil manufacture and supply drugs in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, after which Gujarat ATS sent a team and raided and arrested both of them with drugs worth Rs 800 crore.
