Government agency issued warning, danger looms over Google Chrome users, do this immediately for safety

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), an agency that creates awareness about cyber security, has issued an important warning. This warning has been issued for desktop users of Google Chrome. The latest note states that many vulnerabilities have been spotted in Google’s web browser, these are special types of vulnerabilities that can be exploited by hackers and scammers.

With their help, cyber scammers can hack into the users’ system and steal sensitive data. Not only this, they can even get remote access of the device. They can hack into the computer system only after it is shut down. Let us know about it in detail.

According to the details shared by CERT-In, this can prove to be a big threat for the users. With its help, cyber criminals can easily take remote access to the user’s device. After this, they can install code or software etc. in the device.

How to keep yourself safe

It is very important to keep yourself safe from these threats mentioned by CERT-In. For this, you have to update your device to the latest version of Google Chrome. Currently, the stable channel version for Windows and MacOS is 127.0.6533.88/89, while the version for Linux is 127.0.6533.88. Necessary action has been taken in these and these vulnerabilities have been removed.

To update Google Chrome, users need to go to the browser’s menu and then select Help. After this, they need to go to About Google Chrome, after which it will automatically check for updates and if an update is available, it will start working automatically.
