Politics has intensified after the demolition of the platform being built for the statue of former minister Harishankar Tiwari in Chillupar assembly constituency of Gorakhpur. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav again targeted the BJP government over this. He said that this government has only one job and that is to spoil things. If Harishankar ji’s people want to honor him, want to install his statue, then what problem do you have? At the same time, when BJP MLA from Chillupar seat Rajesh Tripathi was talked to in this regard, he accused Harishankar Tiwari’s sons of doing politics.
It is worth noting that recently the platform being built for the statue of Harishankar Tiwari in Badhalganj Tanda village of Chillupar was demolished by the government. The issue was also raised by SP leaders in the assembly. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav He had said that till now the BJP’s bulldozer used to run on shops and houses, now it has started running on the honour and respect of the deceased as well.
But now on this issue, BJP MLA Rajesh Tripathi says that both the sons of Harishankar Tiwari ji could not respect their father while he was alive and are not respecting him even after his death. They are hurting their father’s soul by playing with idols. They do not even go to see the statue that was installed earlier.
According to Rajesh Tripathi, his political ground has slipped, that is why he is using his father’s name. The issue of installing the statue is just a conspiracy. If the supporters want to install the statue then it is a good thing, the statue should be installed, but it should be installed as per the rules.
On the other hand, on Harishankar Tiwari being called ‘Brahmin Shiromani’, the BJP MLA from Chillupar said that I do not believe that he was Brahmin Shiromani. He cannot be an ideal for any Brahmin. Since I am currently an MLA from his (Harishankar Tiwari) seat, I congratulate him on his birth anniversary, and this is also political courtesy.
MLA Rajesh Tripathi said that when will the SP people stop lying. He said in the House that the gate built in the name of Harishankar Tiwari was demolished, but in reality there is nothing like that. Only the half-constructed platform was demolished.
At the same time, Harishankar Tiwari’s son Vinay Shankar Tiwari also wrote a long post on Facebook against the action of the district administration. In which he wrote, ‘This is political anarchy.. administrative hooliganism.. or arrogance of power.. the height of meanness and depravity or personal enmity.. a challenge to Brahmin self-respect or murder of entire humanity.. this decision will be taken at the right time by the people of Chillupar assembly but also by the residents of the country and the state!’
Shivpal had raised the issue in the assembly
Let us tell you that Shivpal Yadav had also raised this issue in the assembly. He had said that Harishankar Tiwari is our source of inspiration. Samajwadi Party demands an investigation in this matter.
In fact, on the birthday of Harishankar Tiwari, a platform was built to install his statue in his native village Tanda. Which was demolished by the police calling it illegal. Regarding this, the villagers argue that permission was taken for the statue, while the administration says that they had received a complaint that it was being built on government land for which permission was not taken. Harishankar Tiwari was an MLA from Chillupar assembly seat of Gorakhpur 7 times. He was also a minister in the state government many times. Harishankar Tiwari died last year.
