The festival season is about to start and in this season people return to their homes to celebrate the festival. In such a situation, there is a huge crowd in the trains and it becomes difficult for the passengers to get confirmed tickets, but every year during the festive season, Indian Railways operates festival special trains. So that the passengers can travel comfortably and they can easily get confirmed tickets.
In this regard, keeping in view the festive season, it has been decided to run festival special trains from Chhapra and Gorakhpur stations under the jurisdiction of Northeast Railway to Anand Vihar. The operation of these trains will provide great convenience to the people travelling to and from UP and Bihar during the festive season. Let’s see the list of festive trains.
Indian Railways is running festival special train
CPRO of Northeast Railway, Pankaj Kumar Singh said that keeping in mind the extra rush of passengers on the upcoming festival by the Railway Administration, train number 05109/05110 Chhapra-Anand Vihar Terminus-Chhapra Festival Weekly Special train will be operated from Chhapra every Wednesday from 18 September to 27 November 2024 and from Anand Vihar Terminus every Thursday from 19 September to 28 November 2024 for 11 trips.
Along with this, train number 05023/05024 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal-Gorakhpur Weekly Special train will be operated from Gorakhpur every Sunday from 15 September to 24 November 2024 and from Anand Vihar Terminal every Monday from 16 September to 25 November 2024 for 11 trips.

> Train No. 05109 Chhapra-Anand Vihar Terminal Weekly Festival Special train will depart from Chhapra at 17.45 hrs every Wednesday from 18 September to 27 November, 2024, leaving Siwan at 18.30 hrs, Deoria Sadar at 19.35 hrs, Gorakhpur at 20.55 hrs, Khalilabad at 21.37 hrs, Basti at 22.04 hrs, Gonda at 23.35 hrs, next day leaving Budhwal at 00.42 hrs, Sitapur Jn at 03.05 hrs, Bareilly Jn at 06.03 hrs and Moradabad at 08.30 hrs and reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.50 hrs.
In the return, train number 05110 Anand Vihar Terminal-Chhapra Weekly Festival Special train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal every Thursday from 19 September to 28 November 2024 at 12.55 hrs, Moradabad at 15.40 hrs, Bareilly Junction at 17.07 hrs, Sitapur Junction at 20.45 hrs, Budhwal at 22.20 hrs, Gonda at 23.45 hrs, next day it will leave Basti at 01.25 hrs, Khalilabad at 02.00 hrs, Gorakhpur at 03.05 hrs, Deoria Sadar at 04.05 hrs and Siwan at 05.05 hrs and reach Chhapra at 06.45 hrs.
In this train, 01 coach of generator cum luggage van, 03 coaches of general second class, 06 coaches of sleeper class, 08 coaches of AC third class, 02 coaches of AC second class, 01 coach of AC first cum second class and 01 coach of L.S.L.R.D. A total of 22 coaches will be installed.
> Train No. 05023 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Festival Weekly Special train will depart from Gorakhpur at 21.15 hrs every Sunday from 15th September to 24th November 2024, leave Khalilabad at 21.55 hrs, Basti at 22.25 hrs, Gonda at 00.10 hrs next day, Budhwal at 01.32 hrs, Sitapur Junction at 04.00 hrs, Bareilly Junction at 07.20 hrs, Moradabad at 09.32 hrs and Ghaziabad at 12.00 hrs and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 13.15 hrs.
In the return, 05024 Anand Vihar Terminal-Gorakhpur Festival Weekly Special train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 15.15 hrs every Monday from 16 September to 25 November 2024, Ghaziabad at 16.05 hrs, Moradabad at 18.33 hrs, Bareilly Jn at 19.53 hrs, Sitapur Jn at 23.10 hrs, Budhwal at 01.00 hrs next day, Gonda at 02.05 hrs, Basti at 03.15 hrs and Khalilabad at 03.50 hrs and reach Gorakhpur at 04.45 hrs.
A total of 22 coaches will be installed in this train including 01 generator cum luggage van, 01 LSLRD, 04 general second class coaches, 04 sleeper class coaches, 10 AC third class coaches and 02 AC second class coaches.
