Good News For Farmers, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Friday urged farmers to practice natural farming on a part of their farm and the government will provide them subsidy for the first two years. Addressing the ‘Regional Consultation Program on the Science of Natural Farming’ in the capital Lucknow, Chauhan said that fulfilling the Prime Minister’s dream of ‘saving Mother Earth from chemicals’, we will try our best to ensure that in the coming times, farmers move towards chemical-free farming so that the coming generations remain healthy.

Good news for farmers doing natural farming

Shivraj appealed, ‘Farmers should do natural farming on a part of their farm. In the first two years when they do natural farming, the yield will be less, for which the government will give them subsidy.’ Chauhan said that farmers will get 1.5 times more price by selling grains, fruits and vegetables grown through natural farming.

Laboratories will be set up in agricultural universities

The Agriculture Minister said that laboratories will be set up in the agricultural universities of the country for studies in the field of natural farming. The Agriculture Minister said that one crore farmers of the country will be made aware about natural farming so that they can go to every corner of the country and promote it. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat said in his address that natural farming and organic farming are two different things and it is important to understand this difference.

Natural farming is very beneficial for farmers

Shivraj Singh Chauhan, while highlighting the advantages of organic farming (natural farming), said, ‘It requires less water and is very beneficial for farmers. It is a good thing that now the government has understood the importance of natural farming.’ Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh and Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh were present on the occasion.
