Gonda: Retired soldier shot Dalit youth in land dispute, accused arrested

In Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, a retired soldier shot and killed a Dalit youth. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took the body in custody and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case. It is being told that this incident was carried out due to land dispute. SP Vineet Jaiswal, ASP (West) and CO Tarabganj also reached the spot and took information about the incident from the people.

This incident is from Dubepurva village of Tarabganj police station area. 50-year-old Ramesh Bharti, who lives here, was going somewhere on a bicycle. During this, retired army man Arun Singh shot at him. He was taken to CHC in an injured state. Where doctors declared him dead after examination. After this incident, sensation spread in the area.

Dalit youth shot dead

It is being told that in the year 2022, Arun Singh started getting the road paved on the same road. When Ramesh opposed, there was a fight between the two sides. On this Arun Singh filed a case against Ramesh’s family members. Ramesh was murdered due to this enmity.

Police arrested the retired soldier

The deceased’s father has filed a murder report against four people including the accused retired soldier. The police have taken the accused retired soldier into custody and are interrogating him. On this matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Radheshyam Rai said that there was a land dispute between the accused Arun Singh and Ramesh Bharti. Due to which there was a rivalry between them. On Tuesday, Arun Singh shot Ramesh Bharti dead when he got the chance.
