This golden orb was discovered by NOAA’s Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV). When the scientists sitting on the ship above saw it, they were surprised.

This golden sphere was stuck very firmly to its rocky surface. To remove it, the robotic vehicle first moved the vacuum arm forward. Then it broke the sphere from one side. Only then did it enter the vacuum arm. This golden sphere was about 4 inches in length, width and height. It had a hole on one side.
