‘God takes away everything even after serving’, Babita Phogat gets emotional on sister Vinesh’s defeat

The Olympic Association has disqualified Vinesh Phogat from playing the final match of women’s wrestling in the 50 kg category. On Vinesh’s disqualification, Indian wrestler and Vinesh’s sister Babita Phogat said that it is very sad to see all this. One medal was certain for us. Vinesh had tried very hard to lose weight. But Vinesh’s health also had to be taken care of, and she also had to lose weight. The entire staff tried for this. But today was bad luck for Vinesh and the entire country. She said that God takes away even after serving.

Babita said that she could not believe the incident of Vinesh getting disqualified. The first match that Vinesh played (on Tuesday) was in the 50 kg weight category. She said that Paris Olympics should change its rule. Since Vinesh had reached the final, she should at least get a silver medal.

Wrestler Babita said that if Vinesh’s weight had not come yesterday, we would have assumed that she would not be able to participate. She has won three to four bouts. If she cannot fight the final fight, she should be given silver.

Regarding Vinesh’s weight, Vinesh’s weight was 50 kg, she fought the fight after reducing the weight. She could not fight the bout without eating, because there was a fear of dehydration, the water we drink also remains inside the body. In such a situation, the weight increases. If a player has reached there, even if they are not allowed to play to win, they should be given a medal. Vinesh worked as hard as she could, the entire staff was also trying to reduce weight all night.
